天柱山

Located in the Anqing city, Anhui province, Tianzhu Mountain is an eastward offshoot of Dabie Mountains. It gets its name since its main peak looks like a pillar leaning in the sky. It is regarded as a treasured place by both Buddhism and Taoism in history. With the Tianzhu Peak as its main peak, it is covered by lush vegetation and is home to dozens of rare animals. There are also streams and waterfalls, canyons, secluded caves and peculiar-looking pine trees and rocks in the scenic areas. One of the first group of Key National Tourist Attractions, it is a 5A Tourist Attraction, and a World Geopark.
