Rhinopithecus strykeri is a highly endangered monkey in China. These monkeys have midday rest together and they express their affection by hugging and grooming each other. They are good at climbing and they feed on 13 types of wild plants such as honeysuckle, kiwi berry and tetracentron sinense. They mainly live in the virgin forest at an altitude of 1,700 to 3,000 meters, and in summer in the temperate mixed forest. This species is mainly found in forests in Gaoligon Mountain in the west bank of Nujiang River in Yunnan Province, China.
