"Rich 2G" was first seen in the Hong Kong series broadcast on Phoenix TV, A Date With Luyu. Rich 2G refers to the offspring of the first private entrepreneurs since China’s reform and opening up. These children are characterized by wealth inherited through the family estate. They are divided into four types, namely, the successful, the prodigal, the ones who take everything as it comes, and the deadbeats coming from a declining family. Experts believe that rich people should donate some of their fortune to society instead of giving all of their fortune to their offspring. Otherwise, it will widen the gap between the rich and the poor. This will cause harm to the stability of the economy and society.
