How Should Parents Help Children to Be Independent In China, many families now have only one child and these only children are usually doted upon by all family members. As a result, some　of them are used to depending on their parents and lack the ability to solve problems independently.

There are some ways to help children to be independent. Firstly, the child should have a chance to see the world around him. He must understand that no one can succeed in the society without their individual efforts. Secondly, parents should give the child enough help to make him feel comfortable. Finally, parents should let the child make his own decision, which can develop his ability to deal with problems.

To be independent is vital for the children, because no parents can accompany their children for their whole life. It is the child himself who is responsible for his own fate.
