l         Expressions

1. by 过去的时间点,by the end of 过去的时间点,before 过去的时间点.

By nine o’clock last night, we had got 200 pictures from the spaceship.

We had learned over two thousand English words by the end of last term.

They had planted six hundred trees before last Wednesday.

I had finished work when my boss came in the office.

It rained heavily before Tom left home.

He played the basketball after he had done his homework.

She didn’t go to bed until she had finished he work.

She said that she had seen the film before.

before在…之前;after在…

I had already got home before it began to rain.

I got to the station after the train had just left.

的”,由形容词、介词短语和定语从句来充当定语,如:pretty girl;the key to the front door等。
