Candidates should

给应试者的建议

1.familiarise themselves with the form, function andprocedures for all parts of the test

要熟悉口试中每一部分的格式、功能和步骤

2.take every opportunity to practice their English ingroups and pairs, both inside and outside theclassroom before the test, particularly in a business environment, if possible.

利用好每一个开口讲英语的机会，不论是小组讨论也好还是双人练习也好，无论是课堂上还是课外，都要多说多练。如果有可能的话，在商业背景下练习会更好。

3.take opportunities to show what they are capable of and try to produce an extendedsample of language for the examiner to assess

抓住机会向考官展示英语能力，证明自己的英语水平比考试要求得更高。

4. listen carefully to instructions and questions asked throughout the test

在整个口试过程中，都要认真听清楚考试官的指示和问题。

5.ask for repetition of instructions if you are unclear about what to do

如果你不知道该这么做，那就请考试官再重复一遍问题，或者请他们给点指示。

6.try to avoid long silences and frequent pauses

尽量避免长时间的冷场，也不要经常停顿。

7.be prepared to initiate discussion in Part3, as well as respond to what their partner has said

在第三部分中，要做好准备首先发起讨论，也要注意回应搭档的话。

8.speak clearly and loudly enough for the examiners to hear

说话要清楚，音量适中，保证考试官可以听得到，听得清。
