The Center of Prayer for Bountiful Harvests is located to the north of the Temple of Heaven. Da Zhe Dian is its antecedent. It was first built in the 18th year of Emperor Yongle (1420) during the Ming Dynasty. Also known as Qi Gu Dian, this was the Temple of Heaven building in which emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for bountiful harvest.
