Shandong Peninsula is located in eastern China. Surrounded on three sides by sea, and its northern border faces Liaodong Peninsula across the Bohai strait and its eastern border South Korea across the Yellow Sea. With numerous islands under its jurisdiction, its winding coastline is interlaced with cliffs and bays. Shandong Peninsula includes the primary seaports of northern China. As such, its economy has developed mainly through foreign trade. Its primary commodities are peanuts and temperate fruits.
