中等收入陷阱是指的是当一个国家的人均收入达到世界中等水平后，由于不能顺利实现经济发展方式的转变，导致新的增长动力不足，长期出现经济停滞徘徊的一种状态。中国要跨过中等收入陷阱，顺利实现向高收入国家的转变，至少面临四大陷阱：收入分配差距拉大，城市化的问题，资本账户开放的问题，以及产业升级问题。

The middle income trap refers to a state of insufficient new growth and long-term economic stagnation due to the failure to achieve economic restructuring, where the per capita income of a country reaches the world average. To lift itself out of the middle income trap and achieve a smooth transition to a high-income country, China faces at least four major traps: the widening income gap, urbanization-related issues, opening of capital account and industrial upgrading.
