比较关系

    汉语中表示“比较”的常用词语有：像…—样、比、不及、跟…不一样，等等。译成英语时可用more...than、as...as、not more…than、not so…as、the more…the more…等来表达。

1． 在这个装置内，机器零件比那个装置多。

In this devise there are more machine parts than in that one. 

    (译成英语主从句，用more…than表示“比较”，连词than后省略厂主语和动词there are machine parts。)

    2. 这部电影不如我所预期的好。

    The movie is not so good as I thought (it was). 

    (译作英语主从句，用not so…9s表示“比较”，翻译时可省略it was。)

    3. 一个人学的越多，越感到自己无知。

    The more one learns，the more he becomes aware of his own ignorance. 

    (将原文译成英语主从句，用the more…the more…结构表达“比较关系”。)
