Courting Envy

“Courting envy”is a buzz word on the internet which originally meant attracting a monster’s attack in an online game. It is similar to the English phrase, “courting disaster”. In reality, courting envy usually refers to saying something that will easily offend somebody or doing something people will resent. It can also be used when joking about enviable behaviors or things. This phrase is often used online especially when showing off something you’re proud of.
