SOFIA, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- A fake bomb alert sealed off Sofia's international airport for more than an hour on Sunday, but no explosives were found after an exhaustive police search, local Sofia News Agency reported Sunday.

    An anonymous caller, a woman, called the police at 1 pm local time (1100 GMT), saying that an explosive device had been planted in the building of the old airport terminal.

    Police sealed off the area around the airport and a bomb disposal squad combed the area. However, nothing was found.

    The airport is operating normally now.
